Delete your Runger account
You can delete your account and all your data at any time, right in the app. If you can't use the app, email us instead.
Delete in the app
- Open Runger and tap the Profile button in the bottom bar.
- Go to Profile Account Delete account.
- Confirm. You're signed out on all devices straight away.
You have 30 days to change your mind
After you delete your account, it's closed immediately and permanently erased after 30 days. If you sign in again within those 30 days, your account is restored with everything in it. After 30 days it can't be recovered.
What is deleted
After the 30 days, Runger erases:
- your account: name, email, date of birth, sign-in methods and devices;
- your profile, goals and settings;
- all your plans, past and current, and every workout in them;
- your runs, including GPS tracks, splits, effort ratings and notes;
- runs imported from Apple Health and Apple Watch;
- plans you imported, and any uploaded files that are still stored;
- data exports that haven't expired yet.
If you signed in with Apple, Runger also revokes its access to your Apple ID. Data in Apple Health stays in Apple Health: deleting Runger doesn't remove anything from it.
We may keep a minimal record that a deletion request was made, and anything we're legally required to keep, for as long as the law requires.
Get a copy of your data first
Deletion can't be undone after 30 days, so export your data first if you want to keep it.
- Go to Profile Account Export data.
- Runger emails you a link to a ZIP file with your profile, plans, workouts, runs and check-ins as JSON, plus your GPS tracks as GPX files.
- Download it within 7 days. Then delete your account.
Can't use the app? Email us
Send a deletion request to [email protected] from the email address on your Runger account. If you signed in with Apple and hid your email, tell us so in the message and we'll help you confirm the account is yours.
We'll confirm by email once the account is closed. The same 30-day period applies.
